Chilean Meat Pie

1/2 kg. mince

1 onion

1 red pepper

100 gr. mozzarella cheese

100 gr. diced bacon

3 eggs

1 tablespoon oregano

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1/2 tablespoon nutmeg

1 clove garlic

green olives

Salt

Parsley

1 bag of instant potato mash

 

Put the eggs in a saucepan and hard boil them, 10 minutes will suffice.

Peel the onion and chop it well, and put it in a pan to gently fry.

Chop the red pepper and add it to the onion when the onion has turned golden.

Add salt and pepper to the minced meat (to your taste) and mix with your hands. Chop olives and raisins and mix them with the meat, along with nutmeg and oregano.

Add the meat mixture to the pan and cook until golden. Spread the meat mixture evenly in an oven proof dish.

Chop the boiled eggs (after peeling) into strips along with the cheese, and sprinkle both over the meat mixture.

Prepare the mashed potatoes as per instructions. Spread the puree over the meat and egg mixture and bake it for about 10 minutes or so.
