Cabernet Sauvignon

The star grape in Chile, and king of all the reds, Cabernet Sauvignon made its way here from France in the mid 19th century. This is a late maturing grape, that really flourishes in the valleys of Aconcagua, Maipo, Cachapoal and Colchagua, where the warm and dry climate allows it to fully mature and develop aromas and flavours of red fruit, berries, blackcurrant and fig. Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon varies in style from simple, fruity, friendly wines, to big and bold wines filled with delicious condensed fruit and a lot of ‘surprise factor’.
