Main critic of ¨Tim Atkin¨ Wines is in Chile and seeks to taste more than 1,200 wines

After a visit he made in 2016, where he was surprised about the diversity, quality and innovation of the national industry, Tim Atkin, author of prestigious books and a reference of the world wine industry, returns to Chile with the goal of tasting 1,200 wines.

The expert, who defined our sector as "a success story in South America", will be visiting the country for about 20 days, in which he will participate in several visits to vineyards and tastings that aim to develop the second annual guide of Chile, where the strengths of Chilean wines will be highlighted.

His program includes visits to 40 vineyards from Lago Ranco to Elqui, covering all sizes of producers. Likewise, he will participate in 9 thematic tastings of the different valleys (Aconcagua, Casablanca, Maipo, Cachapoal, Colchagua, Maule, Cauquenes, Bío Bío, Itata) and 2 tastings with independent associations such as Movi and Chanchos Deslenguados.

The result of his review will be presented at Prowein 2018.
