As of this week, the former National Director of the Office of Agricultural Studies and Policies (ODEPA), Claudia Carbonell, joined the study department of the Wine Association of Chile with the aim of making publications and studies to inform, both to the management of the guild, as well as to its associates, in order to improve the decision-making process.

Within the experience of the agronomist engineer of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, she highlighted that in 2007 she assumed the role of negotiator and head of the subdepartment of sanitary and phytosanitary measures of the General Directorate of International Economic Relations, to later take charge of research management and general manager of the Wine Development and Innovation Unit of Chile and finally was at the head of Odepa, a position he left in March of this year.

For Wines of Chile, being able to count on a department of studies is a key element for the permanent analysis of the conjuncture, the context and the new topics that influence the behavior and the perspectives of the sector. Beyond the routine topics of monitoring the indicators of the sector, we see the opportunity to strengthen the institutional framework of the Association, in the field of strategic analysis of the industry, through a closer link with the partner vineyards, allowing gauge in greater depth the most relevant issues and generate participatory spaces that allow a better understanding, analysis, and practical conditions of a given topic.
