OVERVIEW

Wines of Chile brings you an opportunity to present your wines to buyers, licensees, press and consumers through participation at the well-attended Dish n Dazzle Tasting in Vancouver on Thursday May 18, 2017.

The festival will celebrate the pairing of Chilean wine and food with two festival style receptions including an afternoon trade tasting and evening consumer event. The event will feature multiple food stations with talented chefs creating exciting Chilean styled dishes, and a cocktail competition highlighting Vancouver’s top bartenders. The festival will once again play host to over 20 visiting wineries and highlight the diverse wines from Chile, and accommodate 450 guests!

EVENT SCHEDULE & DESCRIPTION

Masterclass – 1:00pm to 2:00pm

·         Theme: Chile – Beyond Borders

·         Showcase your best wines (limited to wineries participating in the full event)

·         50 trade and media invited to attend

·         Participating winery representatives must be present on the panel

·         Maximum of 12 wines showcased

Trade Tasting – 2:00pm to 3:30pm

·         Reception style tasting limited to invited trade and media only

·         Each participating winery can feature up to 5 products

·         Wines featured will be brought in through diplomatic privilege

·         Wines do not need to be currently available in the market


Trade Focus Station: Pequeña Station

·         Exposure for smaller wineries to local trade and media in Vancouver.

·         Wines may not be available currently in BC and will be brought in through diplomatic privilege.

·         Presented by our top local sommeliers.

·         Maximum 10 wines will be featured.

·         Wines will be selected on the basis of regionality, typicity, and price (above $12.99). 

Market Update Meeting – 5:00pm to 6:00pm

·         Market Report presented by Alana Dickson of Aurillia Consulting Ltd.

·         Chilean wine producers

·         A light meal will be served

Consumer Tasting – (450 guests) 6:30pm to 9:30pm

·         Reception style tasting – ticketed consumer event

·         Each participating winery can feature up to 5 products

·         Wines featured will be brought in through diplomatic privilege

·         Wines do not need to be currently available in the market

·         Wineries will be limited to 2 winery representatives per booth.

Consumer Focus Station: Sparkling Station

·         Allow consumers access to the wonderful world of Chilean sparkling wines!

·         Wines may not be available currently in BC and will be brought in through diplomatic privilege.

·         Presented by our top local sommeliers.

·         Maximum 10 wines will be featured.

·         Wines will be selected by the Wines of Chile team on the basis of regionality, typicity, and price (above $12.99). 

Onsite Store

·         An onsite store will be available on site for trade, media and consumers to purchase registered for sale in British Columbia.

Giveaway

·         Attendees at the event will also be offered the chance to win a trip to Chile. This will be promoted leading up to the event through media outlets, social media and also during the events.

·         Trade & Consumer Tasting: 20 wineries with up to 5 SKU’s each (minimum of 15 wineries required)

·         Pequeña Station: Up to 10 wines will be featured (minimum of 5 SKU’s required)

·         Sparkling Station: Up to 10 wines will be featured (minimum of 5 SKU’s required)
